          Telling people they can't have *symptom* without *disorder* is in fact a thousand times more hurtful than ppl having disorder related symptoms without having the disorder. We see this mostly about plurality but it's a problem in every disorder related community. I've seen neurodivergent people telling neurotypical people that they can't have sensory issues. I've seen people saying stuff like "if you don't suffer because of it, you don't actually experienced it" (this is paraphrased and I haven't seen anyone saying this, but I've definitely seen ppl saying stuff that clearly stated that this was their opinion) but saying stuff like this doesn't make the experiences go away, it just makes people feel guilty for them. Some people even wish they'd actually have the disorder they're told is needed to experience what they experience. It's insane that instead of encouraging people to share their experiences and learning more about the way humans work, people hate on them to the point where people wish they would have trauma in order to feel valid! Society sucks!
