Hey all,
I am a teacher in bush Alaska and write in my free time. I teach all subjects in a class of 4th graders through 11th graders in the same room. Needless to say, there are many adventures and a lot of preparation work.
I am excited to continue writing and develop as an author. I have experience writing academically and have written a thesis over 100 pages, but would like to depart my normal comfort zone and try some creative works. I've have an epic fantasy novel jumbling around in my head for about 5 years and am just starting to write about some of the characters so I can get to know them better and share them with you.
I hope we can get to know each other better. I am open to questions and would love to read some of your work. Please understand that I write blatant critiques and rarely sugar coat my words. I do this because I hope others will do the same for me and because I know that hearing things I don't want to hear is the only way to grow and become the writer I want to be. Feel free to cut me to the core. I'd rather re-write 10 chapters to make something right than leave it to fester.
Drop a comment. Let's break something so we can fix it.
