Just so we all know that there's some stability in the world - I made myself a cup of tea and am currently watching big fluffy snow flakes drift softly to the ground. Deep breath. The news cycle is designed to scream for attention and make us panic so we freeze and keep watching.

Was reminded today that it's the 80th anniversary of a World War II event that nearly impacted my family. My grandfather's feet froze, getting him home from service just before the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Forest on the border of Germany.
