Oh wow, does time fly. It has been about SIX MONTHS since I was last on Wattpad... SIX MONTHS. I kept up my writing on the side and have 6 more chapters ready to post for Shield Of Art... most of them a decent length. I will post them One by one over the next Six days.

@Rockystary4eva it's definitely a great idea to enquire about placement I'm the future, you don't need placement until a third of the way through the theory but it's definitely best to look into it first and ask about any and all info you should know. The course has people who, after you have expressed all avenues of placement search, will help you and from all those I have chatted to about such difficulties have said the workplace assessors helped them get placement. it is a minimum of 480 hours of work placement in a veterinary clinic and costs about $5000 all up but can be paid in full or in a payment plan within the first year (its a 2 year course).

Just note that it IS self paced so you need to be motivated yourself hahaha.

@Rockystary4eva I want to get into dog training too! If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

I moved from not too far off Perth to QLD 11 months ago. The course I am doing is online and run from a tafe in SA (the coordinator is actually one of the head vet nurses at SASH, the clinic most of Bondi Vet is based in). It is recognized Australia wide, You don't need too much experience to start it but you do need to stick with it as after a period of time you can't leave the course and get a refund or stop payments.

@Rockystary4eva volunteer work is never ending, I am currently undertaking the cert 4 in Veterinary nursing which has a large amount of placement hours within a veterinary clinic. I love it, despite the early hours (I am NOT a morning person, unless you're an animal!). At 18 I am one of the youngest doing the cert 4, and have so far completed all theory up to half way at a very high quality. I love it, I love the practical and the theory as much as I love to write.

Well circumstances have currently made writing and posting my chapters for Shield of Art quite difficult at the moment, hence the more than a week since my last update. I am writing, however it is in small amounts around a death in my family, being support for others and juggling study. I do apologise for this current delay and as much as I'd love to just write, it will be hard for at least another month and a half, I will aim to post a chapter at least every fortnight anyway, but I cannot guarantee.

Thanks for reading so far xx

@chronic_mom thank you and don't be sorry you didn't see this sooner :-) I am doing better now but as everything is still up in the air, writing is completely at a halt for now. Also thank you for your compliment on my writing! I shall take care of myself, please look after yourself also.

@A_Vet_Nurse_To_Be So sorry for your loss (and sorry I didn't see this sooner). I hope you're doing well and that you can get back to writing soon. You have a real knack! Most importantly, take care of yourself. I'll be thinking about you!

@chronic_mom No I've heard of her but am yet to read here work! its on my list of "to gets"... which is about a mile long hahaha at 18 I've read more books than my year 12 English teacher (much to her disbelief and amusement) who said I should become an author (I hated essays but loved the creative side!)

@chronic_mom I definitely will!!! Thank you soooooooo much! There is just something about a well written thriller/suspense novel that makes you hate it and love it all on one! A toxic combination.
