I'm taking a break from writing for a few weeks. I'm really sorry, I feel like I'm letting you guys down. But its my birthday this sunday and I've been overwhelmed by uni applications and coursework.... I'm still gonna be active to reply to comments (and I have something ready to publish already) but the sequels gonna take a little longer to come out than i anticipated

@adriellerune Thank you for the support, and thats so cool we have the same birthday! Luckily since my friends all go to different unis around the country our celebration traditions didn't change much due to covid. We all get another persons name and then order them whatever food we want through deliveroo, then we go on a call and review our meal and try and guess who sent it to us

@A_wild_lyle I'm on a writing break too rn. We have the same birthday lol . I don't celebrate my birthday but I just found that funny. I've never met anyone with the same b-day as me. Take your time, you'll get writing fever again and inspiration will hit you like a train. Just give it time. Stepping back and taking the pressure off is a wonderful thing.

@A_wild_lyle same lol. I know what happens 3 chapters from now and what happens at the end, but how to get there is the hardest part

@adriellerune This is so good <3 The main issue I have is I know what the overall story arch is, just not how to get there! Will definitely try these tho. I'm thinking I'll edit my older chapters first and use your idea before I try to write new stuff

@A_wild_lyle When I have writer's block, I reread my chapters and as I'm reading, I jot down random ideas that, if I was a reader rather than a writer, I would like to see happen. Also, sending a chapter to someone you trust and then ask them as a reader what they would like to see happen next. Even if you don't use the idea, it might spurn ideas of your own. And I think I saw someone mention music in the other replies. I often find a song randomly that makes me relate to the characters and it inspires me to write. It might not be a plot line, but if I want the characters to feel something that was embodied in the said song, I can use that to cure my writer's block. Hope some of this makes sense and helps a bit
