Hello friends,
           Wattpad has always overwhelmed me, so I never initiated any type of discussion with anyone. Today I feel compelled to speak out.
          
          All of us have a right to opinion. We are free to love or hate a book or a character. It’s not necessarily to love every author but to spread hate on purpose is a big no.
          
          A young author I know committed suicide today. We lost her a few hours back. The family is devastated. She was 17. Wattpad does not tell you anyone’s age.
          
          So before spewing hate, ganging up on someone and humiliating them. Poking fun to make yourself feel better. Tagging others to justify your behavior. All this is shameful and sad.
          
          Review a work, don’t spread negativity. An author does not put their work on the platform to be bullied. A harsh review need not become personal.
          
          When you abuse the author it shows about your character. I was reading through the comments on her profile and was shocked.  How can anyone be cruel?
          
          If you have nothing better to say, don’t say anything at all. Why drag someone’s family here?
          
          They called her names, abused her parents, humiliated her. This continued for days even after she stopped posting.
          
          Shame on anyone who enjoys in taking part in such behavior. I wish the police can track all those bullies, but keyboard warriors rarely use their real profiles. 
          
          I pray for the lost souls and urge everyone to be careful with their words.  Don’t spread hate. Karma is a boomerang. It will hit us hard.
          
          Wattpad was not invented to unleash our frustration. It was a platform for authors and readers to interact. Don’t abuse this platform

Hey Aaradhana, Since Wattpad has disabled messages ,I'm posting here. I have come back after long and thought to leave a messgae here despite being late. I know sorry for your loss feels like empty words so I'm not gonna tell that. But I really am sorry that you'll be missing your father who would have been your hero and been there in every step you took till now. I hope you have made peace and healed a little bit. I also want to tell you that he will always be proud of you and the achievements you have made. I really believe he will be there with you with his presence and the teachings he has inculcated in you till now. I know you've got family, friends nd acquaintances, but if you feel the need to talk to a stranger, please do let me know!  Having said all that, time to zip up !
