I loved “Into the MCU” so much, I wish I could read it for the first time again. If you plan on writing more MCU fanfics, I’d love to read one where the character has the power of luck or probability manipulation.
If you wanted some ideas to start with, I considered it happening before the Avengers were created. Picture this:
The character is wandering a quiet street when it begins to rain, despite it being sunny moments ago. They duck into an antique store to pass time until it stops, and find a coin that isn’t from any known country. They ask the shopkeeper about it, who doesn’t recognise it as part of the inventory and wouldn’t even know its value, and tell them to keep it. And as they take it back, it stops raining. From that moment, the ancient unknown magic that was housed in that object moved into its finder, granting them a range of abilities. At first, having the question they answered wrong on a test be removed from marking, or finding money when they’d forgot their wallet. It takes time for them to notice, and once they do, they lean into it, winning any raffle they enter, everything somehow working in their favour. None of it is impossible, just improbable. And when SHIELD notices the pattern of this anomaly, they go in to question and would likely test their ability to get a better understanding, eventually leading to an offer on a team.
