It is recommended that you read "The Base" bundle by H.M. Wolfe, but to be honest, some of my regular readers had a hard time getting through her books. A few others were fine with them. So, you can give them a try.
In the crossover books, I'm actually doing the writing - even the scenes about her characters (with her collaboration) and fleshing them out in ways that she didn't really do in her books. She doesn't put a lot of internal dialogue into her stories that allows the readers to truly get to know the characters on an intimate level. I'm adding that internal dialogue in the Crossover books.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not criticizing her writing style. I just feel that if she wants readers to connect with her character on a deeper level, they need to get to know them through their inner thoughts, which is where characters truly reveal who they are.
