Who's to say our reality is not a fantasy that we wish to be something of fact so we may understand it better? There are things that are unable to be described within our very own worlds, and yet we write them off as something that is not out of the ordinary while we purge the "impossible" as something that is just that, impossible. I like to write using this idea commonly, making it so that the things within our world are bent slightly making something "impossible" possible without actually breaking the fibers of our blessed reality.
As a writer, I question what others do not, always looking for answers and possibilities that may exist but have not been inspected or questioned enough. I find it satisfactory to make readers question if something is possible that they would once not consider.
Like most writers, I use what I know. Writers are thought to put everything they know into work. It's rumored that if someone reads close enough, the author could be detailed using the work done by he or she. This is something I believe and don't. There are a lot of details that can be picked up about an author based on the stories written, but if an author is good enough, he or she can manage to write using another mindset that differs from their own. I like to use a lot of my own mindset while reaching out and trying to grasp others to better round my stories.
I highly enjoy making my work have twists and turns that keep readers interested without causing too much shock and introducing something completely unorthodox. Proper foreshadowing is something I believe to be one of the most useful tools of all times along side a good amount of detail without using too much, character development, and a kick ass plot in general.
