My name is Grief and I am the one that makes you push your family and loved ones away from yourself to give you space and time to heal that broken mind of yours.

I am the shadow that tears you apart on the inside while you wear a smile on your face, to hide the painful screams that are crawling up your throat.

And yet I am the figure that sits beside you and comforts you, holding you in my arms and telling you everything is alright while also giving absolute pain to the ones that have tortured your pitiful soul and mind.

You wish I was gone and at the same time hold my arm in an iron grip, begging for me to stay...

What am I?

I am the evil inside of you and the good of your soul.

I am your friend and enemy, whichever you picture me as I am completely fine with that.
