A friend of mine once asked me: What does the Parable of the Tenants(Matthew 21:33) mean? I will now reply:
The owner is probably God, the ruler of all. The son, is, well, the Son of God, Jesus. The tenants may be those who keep us from Jesus, or those who shouted "Crucify Him!!" at the foot of the Cross. The servants, then, must be prophets such as Abraham or Moses; those who came before Jesus trying to collect the fruit of the Kingdom, or, God's faithful followers. I believe that it is an early reference to the death of Jesus, and the second coming of the Savior. I believe this, because in verse 40 of Matthew 21, scripture says after the son is killed: When therefore the lord of the vineyard shall come, what will he do unto those husbandmen? This seems to me like a reference to the due punishment of those who never come to Him.
That is my view on the scripture, and I hope it helps!!
