Born in the US, living in Germany.
Love to read. I don't write stories myself.
I prefer reading LGBTQ+ stories on here. Not because I have anything against stories with hetero couples but because I have grown up reading and watching stuff that was hetero only. Maybe there were some queer supporting characters, but they tended to either die, not getting much if any attention or turned out to be somehow evil. Not the sort of representation I wanted to read about. And while times are changing, it is still rare to find published books with a good representation of queer characters. So on Wattpad, I prefer reading stories about queer characters. It doesn't mean, the hetero stuff on here is bad or that I wouldn't like it (I probably would, if I bothered to try) but I still prefer stories with and about gay characters.
Since I have grown up reading lots of published books (that are professionally edited and normally don't have lots of - if any - grammatical errors), I would say, I am pretty nitpicky at times when it comes to what I read.
I don't usually correct every tiny mistake, I see in a story because mistakes happen even in published books, but if it's an ongoing thing, it is a reason for me to drop the book even if the story and characters are otherwise good. Fight me. However, I won't be a bitch about it. If I don't like a story for whatever reason I do the smart thing and press 'x'.
I'm not that good at writing comments, although I find that Wattpad's option to comment on individual paragraphs makes it easier and more likely for me to leave comments.
