It's been 2 years and we all miss you.

It's been 2 years since someone posted here... wow

I miss you.

Its been over a year since her passing...

I found out 
          A year ago on MLK day  
          And it was one of the worst days of my life
          Sometimes it still hurts when I think about you 
          But I really hope you’re happy now skate 
          In a place far better than here 
          You were one of my best friends 
          And I hope you rest in peace

Hey, it’s Alia again, I wanted to give all of you an update.
          
          The school I go to (also Skate’s school) hasn’t always been super aware of things like kidnappers and drunk drivers. I recently convinced our principal to let me organize a memorial for Skate on the wall of the foyer. One part will be dedicated to awareness of drunk drivers and the rest to remembering Skate’s life. I, along with other friends, are going around collecting things from her life that symbolized her (the figure skate charm on her keychain, books she loved, posters from her wall, notes from class, the random doodles she would draw and put in our notebooks for us to find). We’re also getting notes of things people loved about her. I know that she loved all of you regardless of how close she was to you individually. That’s just who she was, she was friends with everybody. We wanted to know if you guys can send all of your favourite things about Skate, anything and everything, for her memorial. It would also be amazing if you could post on your profiles to raise awareness of drunk drivers. 
          
          This is hard for me, if I’m honest, still cry every time I think about her. But I know she would have wanted me to include you all, and even if you don’t want to do anything, I want you all to know what’s happening.

hey skate...I think we knew each other..I don't really remember much..bc uh I developed stml...but um I'm glad we were mutuals and I wish we could've talked more ilysm skate... you'll missed. by all of us.
