What’s your craziest oc creation/storybuilding/writing hot take? No, I don’t mean silly stuff like “you don’t have to make more female characters just because people online will attack you for being misogynistic”, I mean actually insane stuff that people might jump you for.
I’ll go first! (This one will have EVERYONE on my case istg bro)
I don’t like OP characters. They don’t sit right with me a lot. Like god characters I get, but characters who can do this and that and that and also be good at that and have basically no weaknesses I just can’t get behind. I personally am someone who thinks all characters should have at least one weakness (something hyper specific does NOT count) because it adds character. Like even when I was making Stolas I felt kind of icky creating him to be the world’s strongest high school level combatant, so I had to give him several weaknesses to balance it. This is no way me saying yall shouldn’t make ocs like that, it’s just my hot take </3
TL;DR: Overpowered characters make me feel meh, I hate talking about ocs with people just for the other to go “yeah my oc can kill yours in all these ways and your oc will never win lol”, yall can create whatever characters you want idrc

Idk if this is a hot take but I despise when a sidestory is too disconnected.
Straying from the main plot? Sure. But I feel like when what's happening for more than a few chapters doesn't add to the main story it gets boring, especially if it happens multiple times.
I might just have a low attention span.

Oc attack ratios so bad that I gotta point out in my profile that some characters have no attacks (I’ve received almost exclusively Rowan in the last few days)
Also guys I’m not mad or complaining lol I love Rowan but I also love Furfur and the only attack she has is when I drew her in someone else’s attack ;0;
