It's official. With Chapter Three, Pokémon Arena evolves into a Persona game.
Making miniscule edits to Chapter 2. They aren't wholly necessary for jumping into Chapter 3, but they set up for it a little better. The most important changes will be references to the Acadamy having "classes" that contestants will have to attend.
Chapter 3 is undergoing a full rewrite. It got too big and needs to be revamped.
So I got a little ambitious with Chapter Three, so I'll have to keep it for a couple more days. In consolation, I'll be posting a Bloodlines concept chapter tonight.
New story on the way: Pokémon Bloodlines. It's sort of a Feudal Japanese Game of Thrones set in the Pokémon universe.
Chapter Three of Pokémon Arena is the best so far. I don't claim to be a particularly good writer, but I way outdid myself.
To the tiny handful of people actually reading Arena, Chapter Three will be a Śiva chapter called Owl Judo. It'll be up sometime in early September. Unlike the other chapters, this one will come with a content warning.
Chapter Three is underway and should see release during the first few days of September, partially just to give readers time to wring some suspense out of Chapters One and Two. A fair bit of warning, Chapter Three is Pokémon Arena at its darkest. It won't get Game of Thrones dark, but one early scene really cuts it close.
