Should we post the final chapters of Silver Lake tomorrow or Saturday?

How about both?

It's the beginning of the end of Silver Lake, our Teen Fiction story about a girl and boy who grow up together, day-dreaming of escaping their small town together. Packed with drama, slathered with a thick layer of classic rock, and a heaping of 90's nostalgia, this story, like our two main characters, weaves a balance between childhood's whimsy and the hardships of growing older.

We've worked hard on this story and have received so much support and encouragement from our readers so far. If you've been keeping up this whole time, we cannot thank you enough. If you haven't made time to read it yet, or you're just now hearing about it, come on over and check it out. Leave us a comment and let us know what you do or don't like!

There are more stories in the future for our main characters. We'll begin work on those soon. In the meantime, we will be making some minor changes here and there, mostly just cleaning chapters up to make paragraphs flow better. We'll also be catching up on reading YOUR stories! We've been busy with life stuff the past few months and have shamefully gotten quite behind on all of that.

By the end of next week, Silver Lake will be marked as completed!

After waaaaaaaay too long we're finally back with another handful of posts! It may be a couple of weeks before our next round of updates, but we're still working on this story!
The end of this novel is coming soon! Some recent edits have caused us to add another chapter amongst all our other edits, and that's taking some time to write and make it work within the flow we already felt really good about.
As we've said a few times in the past, this story (though we feel it stands strongly on its own) is the first in a series that follow Taylor and Ian through their lives. We're really excited to begin work on the next novel in the series, but we're also being sure to make sure this first one is the strongest it can be. We've taken a long time to get here and still get just as excited talking to each other about what the future has in store for our characters today as we did when we began six years ago.
Thank you all so much for reading, following, commenting, voting, and just generally being awesome and supportive and patient!

Just a little update and I’m sorry, but It’s going to be a bit of a long one.

Life has been a little crazy for both Adam and I and while we are SO close to finishing up the first novel, we just haven’t been able to upload our pages or get in the reading we had planned.

If you are waiting on new chapters, don’t worry they are coming! I promise! And soon! Also, if you haven’t been following along this whole time, they are totally worth the wait (take my word for it).

If you’re wondering why we have dropped off the face of planet on our read for reads, I’m so sincerely sorry! I haven’t forgotten you, just health and life caught up to me for a little bit there but my plan is to slowly get back into the swing of things this week. For now, I might be sticking with a few chapters a day for a single book at a time until I have more time freed up, but I promise, I’ll be getting back into them all.

Those of you waiting to get onto our R4R list, for the time being I won’t be adding any more as I want to give all my attention to those currently waiting. Once I have caught up I will be adding more, starting with the ones in our ‘up next’ list. If you want to be added into our ‘up next’ just shoot us a message! We also do our best to read the books of all our supporters, so if we see you commenting and voting on Silver Lake, there is a good chance you’ll eventually also see us popping into yours! We believe in supporting one another, especially those who have taken some of their free time to check out our work. We see you, and we got your back in too!

Hmmm I just caught up to the last chapter today, if this book is the start of a series, I have the distinct impression you’re going to leave me with more questions than answer. But I hope they get to make amends, I hope they tell the truth to each other finally about what’s happened to each of them, and I hope there’s a happier path ahead. However, based on your present day chapters, that doesn’t seem likely does it. well at least anytime soon. Oh, and Taylor’s a photographer, like her dad isn’t she. Keep writing! You’re both quite good! ❤️

For those of you who have been reading and commenting, we have seen and read each of your comments. I’m sorry we have sucked with responses and I fully take on that fail as my own. I should be working through them all this week, but just know, they have been read and your wonderful words have helped get us through some pretty rough days. It truly is encouraging and heartwarming to see you all enjoying this little world we built make as big of an impact on you all as it had on us through the writing process.

I can also promise that despite our first instalment of Silver Lake is almost concluded, there are still plenty more surprises packed into the remaining chapters.

Do you have any predictions on where the story might head? How do you think this chapter of their lives will conclude? Will Taylor and Ian still be friends? Will they be something more? Or will they be drifting apart by the time high school ends? What are your predictions?
