@MelissaRebhahn wow..... What autocorrect does to my words when I don't reread....

@AdamLehman7 I think I am about five to seven chapters away from the end. That gives me some breathing room in case things boil over somewhere.

Thankfully I have a real editor lined up come September(the goal month I have set to finish) best thing is she knows me personally so she is well aware of my deficiencies, which takes a lot of stress out of it for me.

When I started writing Ashes my biggest concern was making sure the characters were stable and strong and that I hit on key points throughout the story. So get the base down and flesh it out once that is done. That has been how I have written things since I can remember.

Autocorrect kept getting me good when I got my first smartphone. For the longest time when I would type 'how' it would assume I mean 'hoe'.

@MelissaRebhahn obviously they may be it still is a food book and I can't wait for the hard edit. Lol. And that is because it will be like a whole new chapter or at least parts of a new story. Besides as long as the main characters story is mostly in place you have a very strong base to work upon so it should be easy for you :) Any idea on how close you are to the end? I haven't a clue yet because I have caught up to the newest update.

@AdamLehman7 I know what you mean. I just finished chapter twenty-two and I realized that I have been so focused on the main characters I didn't give any real insight to how all of what is going on is affecting the world at large. Making sure it is one of the things I integrate when I go back and do a hard edit. It's amazing some of the things you don't know you are missing until you are in the last leg of the race.

I am really glad you are enjoying it despite it's obvious flaws.
