Hi everyone! I'm back again. This time with more news about the manuscript I want to publish. It's a poetry book, and I'd like to get some ARC readers!
For those who don't know an ARC stands for Advanced Reader's Copy, which is basically getting a copy of a book before it's published. My ARC copies will be sent out for FREE to 30 people, on the 23rd, of this month while the book will be published on the 27th!
If you're interested in being an ARC reader, please let me know by replying to this message. It's a collection of poems touching on the struggles and thoughts of young people, titled "Anachronistic Gen Z."

Happiness feels like borrowed clothes.
You start with someone's shoes that are really pretty,
Maybe a bit too small,
But when you try them on, they're too big,
And wearing them might make you trip and fall,
Happiness is like trousers you believed would be a perfect fit,
But they turn out too tight,
You even feel the buttons shift, and suddenly you can't sit,
It's like a shirt your friend swore "would look amazing on you",
But in the mirror it hangs loose, and the looks too huge,
Happiness feels like a jacket that looks warm on the hanger,
But on your shoulders it doesn't block out the chill of cold bites,
And you start to wonder if the comfort you know, is worth the price,
Happiness feels like borrowed clothes, hand-me-down interactions, second-hand dreams,
Everyone's telling you what joy should look like, but none of it ever fits the seams,
Maybe because your idea of happiness was never yours to begin with,
It's forced on you like clothes that for you, can never fit,
So it's time you stop boring.
Try finding shoes in your own size, Trousers that will hold you without tearing,
Happiness is the form of a shirt that makes you comfortable outside,
Happiness isn't someone else's closet. It's been waiting, a bit dusty, in yours all along,
In need of some washing and ironing, Designed for your body where it belongs.
