You walk by this house with an adoption sign on front. It looked beaten down and sad. You see kids running around and older children taking care of them. You knock on their door and an older looking boy opens the door.
"Hi, my name's Matt! Are you here to adopt a child?" He asked and I hum, trying to make my mind.
"Yes, I think I'll look around." I decide and walk in to see sad children trying to play with their toys and talking to their friends, fake smiles on their faces.
"Where's the care taker?"  You ask.
"She's upstairs, drunk or high as usual." He shrugged.
"Oh." I said, sadly.
"Are you the only one here, taking care of the kids?" 
"There's more, there taking time coming over." (Hint hint, more kids will be available to adopt)
"I think I'll adopt..."
