Hey Guys!
There is a new story that I've been writing about a ballerina who has it all but is still miserable in her life because of controlling parents, here is a snippet:
I executed what she told me with perfection and when I was done, I took a couple of breathes before I walked to my mother who was standing where I found her with a frown and I knew that I was going to get it even though I danced perfectly. My heart dropped to my stomach at what she was about to say.
"Your sautés de chat could use some work Claire, you need to extend your hip and legs higher because that leap looked heavy, you looked like your stomach is full of food and you weigh a ton. A ballerina isn't supposed to have a flabby tummy Claire you know that, and those thighs are quite embarrassing to look at. You know people look at the body when you dance Claire."
I looked at my tummy and my thighs, they looked pretty normal to me, my stomach was flat with no flabs and my thighs had no fat at all, toned with muscles.
"I'm laying you off breakfast," She continued and I sighed expecting that, whenever she saw something 'disgusting' about my body she would forbid me to eat either breakfast, lunch or dinner. "For the entire week you're going green, salad, green smoothies the works to remove that lump you call a tummy."
"Of course mother," I agreed with her, my heart hurting at her words but it's nothing I couldn't take, she has said meaner things. Plus I knew the staff would sneak in some food for me if I wanted to so I was good. "Whatever you say."
And she goes on a journey of self discovery with somebody who she never thought she would ever interact with, a homeless boy.
Would you guys read it? Please tell me your thoughts! I would love to hear them.
Much love xx
