Why are the newer Eddsworld comics so... Unfunny? I don't understand half the jokes, some don't even have a hook.

I even have a whole fanfic with LORE *in Matpat voice* already written for it but the way I write sucks pee-pee poo-poo and I wanna focus on my channel growth... Sighhhhhhhh......
