Ummm, like your background picture! Anyway, back on topic, thanks for all the votes - wattpad really need to invent the 'Vote-All' button!!! What an epic - all the chapters of A Knight To Remember and Don't Catch Me! I am handing you over a medal for that! I really appreciate the effort as I really hope these books get into the finals! There is tough competition so... all we can do is try! Thanks again for your support it is awesome!

@AdrielleV3 Thanks for your support - all 11+years of it! Unfortunately I do not suffer from the lack of writing ideas - from this I mean that I have so many books and series that I have started writing that I now get panicked paralysis when I finish a book and I'm faced with what to write next. This usually results in me solving the my indecision by starting a new book altogether - current example being Lady Anna and the Wolf - instead of finishing off a series that I'm already invested in. This is partly due to my 3rd Book Syndrome - which is my newly diagnosed dysfunction in which I struggle to write the third book in all my series - Won't Catch Me!; Saving Marvel; A Knights Resolve; Just Another Empty Threat ... and the list goes on... It's a problem for me... I need therapy. I really should forbid myself from touching anything new until I finish what I started - but I'm weak and the lure is great...

Anyway, my point is that Won't Catch Me! is on a list and although I can't give you a ETA - like all my work - it is scheduled. In a perfect world I would have a white board with a timeline on it - unfortunately I haven't found a way to live without money yet and my job is the type that sucks, consumes too much of my time and spits me out with a very depleted creativeness - And when I'm not at work I'm still at work - if you understand that then you get my problem.

I am rambling now. My point is - please read my other books both here and on that other site that I probably can't mention here... And please feel free to chat - it's really nice reconnecting to my readers and especially those who read the early stuff.

@CompulsiveWriter I’m really chuffed you took the time to message me back! Don’t Catch Me definitely holds a special place in my heart! I can’t remember where but I know you posted about the Demi Lovato song and how it reminded you of your work, and any time the song shows up on my shuffle I think of your series.

Yes, after poking around it definitely seems like Wattpad just isn’t the cozy community it used to be. However, if penning this story would bring you joy, don’t let the evolution of the platform stop you. You can at least count on me sinking my teeth into it! At the same time, please don’t feel bad if the ending doesn’t come to fruition any time soon, if at all. I won’t begrudge you for it!

Either way, I will always be a fan of yours and look forward to catching up on your latest works!

            All the best,
            Adrielle

@AdrielleV3 Wow, hi... I remember you! The original message here was written in 2011, and referred to my entries in the Watties that year - of which I was in 6 or 7 categories and won nothing! LOL! I had just started writing and was all young and green - the good old days! I left this platform like you did and suffered through a number of years of not writing. When I came back to wattpad it had outgrown me. It was huge and I had to start from scratch as most of my supporters had left too. I went elsewhere to find other platforms and posted material in various places. I am back on wattpad at the moment but it isn't the same. I feel lost on it. Everything disappears into a void. However I am writing. I am trying not to be disappointed by the lack of reads and just focus on my writing. This is what makes me happy.

But let me talk about Won't Catch Me! - the third book - This is what I was writing when I left Wattpad. I was very depressed and my writing was dark and was going in a direction that I didn't like. When I write the characters lead me and the plot develops as I write. This book was going somewhere that it shouldn't go. I stopped because I didn't want to write that sort of content.

I love the series. It was my first series and has a special place in my heart. Over the years I have tried to rewrite Don't Catch Me! - my writing has improved and I wanted to return to Joel & Cissy - but it didn't have the magic of the first version.

Maybe it is time I reread the series and had another go at the final book. I still have their story rattling around in my head begging for attention.... maybe it is time...

Thanks for writing to me. It means a lot to hear from you and to know that my work is remembered. Please continue to read - I am releasing new work on wattpad and I'm also on inkit under the same name.

            Cheers, Maree

Hey I read your Forever And A Day poem. I'm sorry to say its not my type of poetry.

However, I loved your poem, Rain Child. I like the way you used the weather to convey your point. Very clever. Definitely voted for it!

P.S. would you mind reading my poems, thanks!
