I have a question to all the people who read my novel, Return of the Burning Man. I would like to know, do you consider the novel to be a Tenn Fantasy novel? Do you think of Sothoo, the main protagonist, as a Teen Fantasy character? I'm very interested to know your opinions Best wishes Steve

I particularly wanted people not to like Raru'iti because of my proposed, dramatic turnaround in his emotional journey. I needed a big contrast because of what he was going to become BUT I did worry that people, women in particular would be turned off by Raru'iti and stop reading before the story really got going.

@Agarthan Yes-I have to admit that I didn't like Raru'iti at first (though that may have been because Sothoo didn't like him either) but I am starting to like him more as the story progresses

@squirrelmonkey123 Thank you that is exactly the kind of information I was looking for, very helpful indeed. I'm very encouraged by your characterization of Sothoo as 'fearless and compassionate' that is very much the kind of thing I was aiming at. Over the emotional story arc, I want Sothoo to move from a slightly timid, nervous character who is unsure of herself to a strong, confident character who takes control and makes decisions. I hope you see the opposite for Raru'iti as the emotional story arc progresses. He started out loud, boisterous, confident, and becomes softer, quieter, someone who needs his family and sons and to have a quiet, peaceful life. He is also profoundly shaken by Lolontoo's death and that changes his emotional journey too.
