I'm just checking in with you all! I will be taking a break from posting updates for the next couple of weeks. I wish you all the best!

I want to write a flashback scene?!?! Any advice?

AhmarriNoelle

@Lynn_dire Thanks so much! You have given me enough information to consider while writing. I’m dealing with writer’s block and it seems endless at this point...

I hope this helps you. I got this when I did a research on writing flashbacks and it helped.

Also, a picture can trigger a flashback, that way it goes in line with your story.

@AhmarriNoelle What I read about writing flashbacks:
°Use flashback only when necessary, and make sure every flashback is important to some extent.
°Make sure the flashback advances the story. Flashbacks are a great tool to advance the plot or reveal something about a character.
            e. g: Try and avoid speaking about your character first visit to the dentist, unless it is necessary.
°Flashback should help explain a major internal or external conflict that is occurring in the present story.

Just checking in! I'm so excited because I've been doing so much work on my vampire story. Writing is so therapeutic and a great way to redirect energy into a productive cause. I hope that you all continue to write and share your creativity with the world. Please stay safe and I'm sending you all positive vibes. Tuesdays are my new chapter update days, so I will be checking in again then. :)
