Here's a sneak-peak to my new story im working on!
His heart lurched as his foot caught on the rock and he yelped, falling to the ground and down the steep slope, the snow breaking his fall.
A figure was following him still, so he booked it further. He could barely see but he kept going, keeping on eye on the flashing light of Levi holding the flashlight and running.
Near the edge of the forest, he looked back to see the figure still following him, Noah ran past him screaming.
The boy was distracted, and he tripped. He let out a yelp, what was up with him tripping so many times?
Apparently, there was a slope in front of that he couldn't see because of the dark, and he fell head first into it, screaming.
The figure behind him stumbled and fell in too, a howl pierced the night, sounding even closer.
The boy grunted as the figure landed on top of him, pain shot through him as he rolled over.
He was dazed, his body was numb from the cold and he could barely fell anything, but what he did feel was the sharp pain on his stomach.
As another howl sounded, the figure lifted his head before sprinting away incredibly fast.
"Elias! Elias!"
He looked up, coughing snow out his mouth. Noah was reaching his hand down into the slope "Come on!"
The boy got up with a wince, no longer dazed, he grabbed Noah's hand gratefully and climbed out the slope.
He pressed a hand to his aching stomach, Noah was looking him over "Are you okay?"
He nodded "Yeah, yeah." he looked around, the street lamps at the edge of the forest on the pavement allowed him to see at least a little.
"Did we lose them?" he asked, Noah looked around worriedly "Let's not find out and just go back to the car."
