Butterfly
Dotted scars
Misty wings
Blue red green yellow
Far it flew
Cold night sky held it's view
Summer's breeze shifted across the fuzzy clouds
Butterfly
Flutter your wings
Dance to the sounds of the shimmering stars
Butterfly
Your lifespan may be short but believe me when I tell you
That endings are beautiful.
Realizing that
this won't go on forever
That your friends, family and lovers will fade away
Their tired bones resting in moist dirt
Is peacefully comforting
And you'll accompany them wherever death takes you
Whether there is something greater out there
Or it's an endless pit of utter nothingness
Butterfly,
I get to see you
Somewhere
Sometime
Anywhere
Death will coil it's sharp thorns around our necks
Leaving us gasping for air
And when we realize that there is no point in fighting against something that is inevitable
When we finally give in to death
With wide open arms
Only then
Will we realize
That creation has just begun
Only then
Are we born again.
Butterfly,
I'm looking forward to meet you again
On the other side
On the pale blue sky
Dark greenish moss
Black hole
Yellow moving cars
City of lights
Fields of silence
Dead cacti
Loving embrace
Butterfly
I'm looking forward to see you
On the edge of the cliff
Just right next to
the beginning of the end
Butterfly,
Do not fear the dead.
Fear the living.
Butterfly,
You must fear
Yourself
I hope you never forget
How precious your wings are
And how beautiful it is to come face to face
With the happiest ending
And the new
Cold beginning of life; Death. (Via blogspot)
