My biggest issue right now with TAW is that it so heavily relied on "Lil is being abused by everyone in her life basically and is taking that out on the people around her" as the only plot so now that I'm trying to Not do that, I'm struggling with elements of the plot. Specifically when it comes to the cheerleaders and especially Tina, because honestly that girl had ZERO motive to act the way she did. I would almost switch that up completely if I didn't need Tina to be a bully so that a different character in For Forever could remind Lil of Tina.

I'm writing some initial things for the rewrite of TAW and I think some people will not be happy with how I'm handling James because I fear I am writing his and Lil's dynamic as an actually realistic depiction of a 16 year old boy and his 13 year old sister LOL

I’m not posting this as an announcement so idk who will see this but I just wanted to put out there that my main goals for the year are:
          
          1. Finish posting For The Better
          2. Start posting the TAW rewrite (working titles: Somewhere Only We Know/Something to Rely On)
          3. Write whatever I want in Tales
          
          That’s really it. I’ve been having a lot of fun writing recently and I want to stay creative rather than boxing myself in by doing things in a logical order LOL. 
          
          I also want to officially say that this is the final year that Thin As Water will be published, as soon as I start writing the new version it will be taken down. There’s a lot of reasons for that but the general gist is that that book was written while I was really mentally unwell and I don’t think it really does a disservice to my characters, especially Lil, James, and Hazel. I’m pretty uncomfortable with some of the themes that I put in there (read: James and Lil’s absolutely awful dynamic) and there are other themes (read: Mrs. VanGrayson) that I think I can handle with a lot more nuance now. The original version of FTB is fine, that’s just unpolished writing, but TAW is genuinely *bad* and I don’t want that story to be a reflection of my work anymore. 
          
          tl;dr - i’m writing things and TAW is not one of them LOL

          Two chapters in one week? More likely than you might think! "Little Cousin" features Hazel and her little cousin Maya who we originally met in chapter 4 of Thin as Water, and this one is actually a sequel to that plot line. You can check it out in my Tales of EHPA book!
