I've been writing stories since I was 8-years-old; I started out with picture books I'd draw with little dialogue/plot tags. I had a book published a month after my 17th birthday and had a book signing in my town at a local bookstore.
I lean more toward the paranormal/supernatural genres than anything else, with some fantasy and sci-fi sprinkled in. In the past I have had a hard time posting here so abandoned this account for several years, but I am ready to give it another try. It's just so hard to get anyone to check out original works on any site so I become discouraged easily.
I lean toward slash pairings. If that is not your glass of pineapple juice then return to the fridge and try again. I have never liked female leads for the most part unless they are done well; too often they act like stereotypical girls and I just can't tolerate them, being a girl myself and growing up with that stigma. I can easily get annoyed with them and drop the story/show/movie. That's not to say I don't write female characters--of course I do--but it's a little insight into why I'm hesitant about female leads. I've seen it done poorly too often.
That being said, I prefer slash. Most of my stories will be slash. I also prefer present tense but I know that's not the standard for most people. Not all my stories are present tense, obviously, but I feel more connected in present tense.
All in all, I love to write; it's helped me through some tough times, getting out of my head for a while. I'm hoping giving this site another chance will be beneficial, but we shall see.
