Unconnected to my account but if you’re black, and you’ve got Netflix, watch “Dear White People.” I’m currently on Volume 2 and the story is so beautiful and powerful. I won’t spoil too much but Sam struggles as a mixed black woman, Lionel struggles as a gay black man, Troy is the son of the dean and the scapegoat of all the racist white kids, while also battling other issues, Coco or Colandrea has a self-hate problem and so many other characters you’d think are one dimensional are so much more. The music used in the show is amazing and all of the main characters are great. Just watch with headphones because there are a lot of sex scenes for literally no reason, but other than that the show is absolutely great.
