@krishvipriya By the river Piedra is a 'differently' written book. Personally, I wasn't fond of the one dimensional ideas presented and the verbosity.  I felt, as the plot progressed, his religious views took the driver's seat and that disappointed the alchemist-lovers.  The book might be underrated, nevertheless, Paulo Coelho is one hell of a talent.
