I just wanna say thank you to everybody who’s been reading my book — yes it’s a little messy/sloppy, but I’m learning and growing and I appreciate y’all for real.

I see the comments and I try to reply back when I can, but sometimes it’s a lot to keep up with.

To the supportive readers: thank you for being patient with me and showing love. It means more than you know.
To the negative opinions: if it’s not for you, that’s okay — you don’t have to read it. Respect is free.

Also! I wanna shout out and share a few stories from other writers I’m supporting. If you’re looking for something new to read, check these out:

Hi,
I hope you don’t mind me sharing this here, and I’m sorry I didn’t ask for permission beforehand. Please feel free to ignore this post.

I’m new here, and this is my very first story. I don’t know how many people will read it, but I wrote it with all my heart—about quiet love, unspoken feelings, family, and the choices that hurt. It’s about people who feel deeply but often stay silent.

If you enjoy slow-burn stories, emotional moments, and something that feels real, maybe you could give it a try. Even a few pages might be enough to see if it connects with you.

And if it does, a read, a vote, or even a small comment would truly mean a lot to me. No pressure at all—just sharing gently.

Thank you for your time and kindness.

Dear Author,

First of all, I love your writing, putting some sarcastic remarks in with normal conversation, or perhaps mostly catty comments, causing me to cackle out loud.

Regarding Loving A Man Who Still Loves Her. I have a few questions.

          1) Are Eli and Amara black? On the cover she’s white. I saw a reference to that in one of the chapters. That would partially explain the way rich, old money white parents put down such an obviously talented, beautiful woman.

          2) When did this ‘kiss’ happen? Maybe I haven’t read far enough to know, but the way it’s thrown about has me curious.

          3) When did Jace stop sleeping with Amara? He referenced ‘his bedroom’ a time or two, or maybe she did, but I cant find when that happened in any part I have read.

          4) Do they not have sex? I can’t see how a married man, working side by side with a sexy, beautiful woman he once loved, not sleeping in the bed with his wife, doing without sex. I know they were in the same bed but suddenly he has his own bedroom?

I may have read it too fast but I swear I cant seem to find it and I have re-read some of the beginning. Plus, Im only halfway thru so I may find out the answer to these questions later. You have LONG chapters! Love it!

Hey love thank you so much for reading and for this message, you really made me smile (and yes, I know the chapters are LONG ).

Let me answer your questions real quick:

            1. Are Eli and Amara Black? What about the cover?
Yes, Amara is Black and Eli is a man of color. The Lane family is old-money white, and that absolutely plays into how they treat her. The Wattpad cover is just a placeholder/aesthetic choice and doesn’t perfectly match how she looks in the story.

            2. The kiss – when did it happen?
You didn’t miss a full on-page scene. The kiss is something that already happened and is mostly shown through the fallout and conversations about it, not a big slow-mo kiss chapter. As you read on, the context around it gets clearer.

            3. When did Jace stop sleeping with Amara / get his own room?
That’s a gradual drift, not one big “I’m moving out of our bed” scene. Their communication and intimacy fade over time, and by the time “his room” is mentioned, they’re basically living like unhappy roommates with rings.

            4. Do they have sex at all?
Earlier in the marriage, yes (even if it’s not all on-page). By the time Sienna is back and things are really bad, their sex life is basically dead. The point is: they are married, but it’s not a healthy, romantic, intimate marriage anymore.

And you’re absolutely right to feel that—Amara and Jace were never meant to be a romantic endgame couple. They’re both unhappy in that marriage in their own ways, which is why the divorce is the natural ending, not a random twist.

Thank you again for reading, laughing, and paying such close attention Keep the questions coming whenever you have them!
