So I was reading this original novel here. And they wrote the whole lyrics to a song or a rap song and it had the N word quite a lot and at the beginning they justified it by saying oh it’s a lyric oh it doesn’t matter all I can say it but obviously the justification was very long and a big deal so therefore they weren’t black.
And the people in the comments were like encouraging this type of behaviour and saying oh my God we Stan.
The level of ignorance and lack of awareness of the actual historical and cultural significance of that word was painful.
As white or or Asian or anything else that isn’t black.
Don’t have the right to reclaim such a word, as a white person what right do I have. None. Bro don’t say it. The Justification Jesus Christ.
If you say the N word apologise and move on. Okay. At least you Knowledged your ignorance and hopefully changed.
But by putting yourself on a pedestal and saying oh it’s lyrics I can say it if you don’t like it go away.
Downplays and ignores the whole experience that people can face without word and have faced.
I’m seen as the rude one of us to tell them the truth. the fucking tea.
I am seen as the bad guy oh my God
please tell me I’m not insane.
