Friend-ship:
In the first day of third quarter, I was so scared to go into class for assigned seats and new people. A girl named Sayge was sitting close to my assigned seat. I thought she was a boxer and I kept wondering if she was going to punch me or not. If I knew, then I would’ve told the teacher to change my seat.
When I saw shoes and a basketball, I was thinking that maybe she was a basketball player. After the end of class, I walked to the door and Sayge was there. “Hi.” She whispered. I figured that maybe she wasn’t so bad. I felt bad because I thought she was a mean girl with an angry attitude.
When five English classes passed by, I started to get to know her and Sayge was really funny all the time. It was the best day, I would never forget. Sayge is a good company but mostly a good friend. Sometimes I get sad because Sayge isn’t here to make my day but there are more friends to cheer me up.
One day in English class, I saw Sayge look sad like a loner in the corner, but I didn’t want to tell her if she’s ok. If I told her then she would’ve blamed me for something I didn’t do. I asked her and she told me that the basketball season was over for the quarter.
I didn’t know what to do because I am not good with people getting upset, mad, or sad. I am not good with people asking me for advice that I’m not interested in. Finally I tried to make her happy. “Oh, then are you going to play next year?” I told her. Sayge answered yes and that was all I could do to cheer her up. I was going to tell her something but the bell rang and I didn’t have time to tell her what I was going to say. Next time I will but not now.
