My skin burned from the sun's intense gaze. I slowly woke up, finding myself in my bed, and I wasn't surprised to see I was still wearing the same clothes from last night. Who would have bothered to change me? Not Landon, of course. But it wasn't as if I wanted him to change me. Definitely not.
I stripped myself of my clothes, leaving them in a heap on the floor. I walked into the bathroom, and my sticky feet against the cold tiles felt refreshing, and woke me from whatever drowsiness was left over.
Turning the shower on, I waited until' the room was filled with steam, and then got in. I let the water wash away all the memories of yesterday, and I reminded myself today was a new day with a clean slate. Well, so far anyways.

"I still can't believe you kissed Darren." Vicky said, jogging evenly in pace with me.
"Well, I, for one, can." Jake called out, from behind.
"Run faster you idiot." Vicky told him.
"I can't!" Jake whined. "I come back from playing rugby and then you two decide it would be good for all of us to take a jog in the forest, up a fucking hill."
"Exercise is good for the body. The more of it the better." Vicky said. "Actually the more for you, the better."
Jake grunted, and decided just to jog ahead of us. I shook my head at them and their pointless arguments. But I loved the two, too much to care.
"You know, when he saw the picture of Darren and I kissing, I thought I saw hurt in his eyes." I told Vicky, thinking back. "And, I felt kind of bad. But at the same time, a part of me thought that he deserved it, you know? It's confusing."
"Tell me about it." Jake faked a girl's voice, and both I and Vicky broke out laughing, Jake joining in soon after.
"Let's take a break." I decided.
The sun's heat was becoming too much to bear, and with no trees on the pathway, it was direct too. We sat down on the grass beside the path..." http://wattpad.com/story/3267055
