An author friend once told me that when you write, start in the middle of your story.
That's the most interesting, because then the reader questions, "wait, what happened? What am I missing?" and then once they find that out, they want to know more.
And this way there is always room to go back, and always room to move forward.
So start in the middle, my friends.
That's where your life.. *ahem*- story, begins.
