I am originally from Nova Scotia, but have been in Toronto, Canada, since 1998.  I've worked for big companies, and some small ones, but now I work for myself.

I took on a big project a few years ago here in Toronto- I built a house.  An entire house by myself.  I mean literally by myself.  I tore it down, and then built a new one.  It took 3 years.  

Like a lot of people we all have stories that made us who we are, and I've faced some fairly big life events early on, so I thought I would get them out of my head as I tried to make sense of who I want to be, how I want to live my life.

I' have made a bunch of short films, and a few docs, but I have always been interested in story telling.  So the first story I thought I would tell would be my own.  I can get it out of the way so I can start working on other stories.

My first book is called Finding 35.  I thought I would put the beginning of the book up here to see what people think.  You can't get an honest answer from your friends.  I learned that a long time ago.
