I've been writing sci/fi since I was a kid, but only for myself. A short story here, another one there, but it wasn't until I was in my late 30's that I took it seriously. Urged on by my wonderful wife, I wrote my first "professional" science fiction book and had it published in 2003, a story about a scientist who inadvertently creates a duplicate of himself who acts out on his inner desires and fears. Since then I have written four more, and am always tinkering with at least two at a time. My latest published works are western fantasies, which I am hoping to do as a series. I am currently working on two more of these, as well as another science fiction book about a planet where lost objects and people end up.
My life has been filled with experiences to use for material for my works. I have served in the Air Force, driven tractor trailer truck, been an auto mechanic, worked for a government contractor, and traveled the country, having called Pennsylvania, Florida, and Arkansas home. I've survived hurricanes, water spouts, blizzards, and floods, and met unforgettable people along the way. All these things I have used in my stories one way or another because, as they say, you write about what you know.
