Hello, my loves!

I’m here to promote the Elysian Quill Awards, which have been organized by @yalalolaaa. While submissions have been closed, we’re still looking for judges for multiple genres.

I know it seems scary, being in charge of judging a bunch of stories, but I promise it’s not as bad as you think. Have you ever asked someone for feedback on your story and been given some really great things to work on? Well, this is the same thing. Only, you get to be the feedback-giver, rather than the feedback-receiver.

This process has already been so much fun, and I can’t wait to see how things turn out. Best of luck to each and every writer!

So you like dogs?

@AllieAprilKnox Aw cute! I have a spoodle called Neville and a cattle dog called Lucie. I also used to have a spoodle called Charlie and cattle dog called George (Charlie and George were named WAY before anyone in my family knew Harry Potter but Neville was named after Neville Longbottom)

Hello @B1ana1sC00l! I do like dogs.

My family has a golden doodle named Tequila and an Akbask-Great Pyrenees mix named Roxie. We used to have a black lab named Indie and a purebred German Shepherd named Tank. (Yes, he was, in fact, a tank.)

What about you? What’s your opinion on dogs?

I have come to a realization.

Just because two people chose studies under the academic branch "Science" doesn't mean they're automatically going to be able to solve the same problems.

Explanation: I'm in the process of applying to and interviewing for honors programs at three different universities. Now, I'm looking at a degree in exercise science, not chemistry or physics. However, the question I just had to answer for my interview (which is next week, by the way) was an economics one.

          Economics.

Guys, I barely passed that class last year and was really hoping to never have to see it again, but no. Apparently, to be accepted into a science honors program, I need to be an econ student rather than the bio major I am.

Apparently I'm making short story publications an annual thing.

As I have for the last two years, I entered a contest put on by The Write Practice and chose to have my submission published at Short Fiction Break. My story is entitled Hunting Partners, published under Allie April Knox. Read a few and vote for your favorite for the Reader's Choice Award. Voting closes Sun., Oct. 20 at midnight pacific time.

I'll let you know how Hunting Partners places!
