I'm a 63 year-young grandmother of 5, two of whom live with me.  I homeschool both children (Aryana, age 11 1/2 and Gabriel, age 14) with K12 (Ohio Virtual Academy) and own a small, holistic healthcare and massage practice that I enjoy 6 days a week, from 3 pm. to 7pm.

I've been writing for years, but the only thing I actually finished was a screenplay I entered in 2000 on Scriptapalooza.com.  They say ignorance is bliss, and I was delighted to place in the top 30...I won software!  Having sent this screenplay out to only one studio (and was politely rejected), I boxed it away - not because the rejection offended me, but because it had been just a "thing to do" and I didn't seriously consider it marketable at a time when violence / sex / foul language polluted the silver screen - no matter what genre you watched.  It was simply "too clean" a script, LOL.

Since that time, I've helped edit / critique many manuscripts of aspiring writers, one of which became a historical romance published author with a book deal for 3 manuscripts from the one I'd edited.  The editor had commented that it was 'so polished' that there were no re-writes, and that was one of the reasons they extended the gal the contract!  WOW!  Wish I had been her instead of just her editor, LOL.

I have boxes of manuscripts in varying degrees of 'finished' under my bed...and don't really know if I can pick up where I left off with them, because it was so many years ago.  My writer's voice has changed; I'm not nearly the hopeless romantic I was 20 years ago; since romance is my chosen genre, I think that may make a difference, don't you?

I just found WATTPAD yesterday (Jan. 5, 2014) and would LOVE to find some writing / brainstorming buddies here.  Maybe I can finish something.  I DID write a UK "Drabble" yesterday...a 100 word story.  Maybe I'm on a roll?
