First and foremost. You can’t edit a blank page. I write even when I think it’s trash, even if I know I’ll delete half of it because writing anything is more productive then not writing at all. Second, don’t let anyone tell you that you’re doing it wrong, whether you write without plot in mind or you have the whole thing planned out before you write a word. Third, give your characters (even minor ones) something that can’t bare to lose and something they’re scared of. You don’t have to write it in, just keep it in mind. It’ll help you think of them as people and not just characters. I’m not the best writer, and not confident myself but I hope these tips help
