Sup, gooners? I'm Stephen.

As a long-time fan of Power Rangers and writer of MMPR fan fic, I've decided to write my own take on a team of young alien crimefighters... but... as a MM romance between two teammates. Gag, right?

"When Fruit Flies" blends gay romance with sci-fi, action, and comedy and features queer leads based on IRL gays I've met in my 40+ years on this stupid planet. My own DNA has gone into these characters because I want my MCs to reflect what I know to be true: that gay men are mean, vulgar, self-sabotaging, scheming, but also yearning for somebody who's genuine, hilarious, and ultimately *gets them*.

A story inspired by my love of Y2K/NYC culture, coupled with the aforementioned genres, is ambitious and admittedly niche. Is there even an audience for what I'm doing? Am I jizzing into the wind to an audience of none? Maybe.

But as I fine tune each chapter, the end goal is to publish the final draft as an actual book and find an audience beyond the gates of this platform.
