I remember an old friend telling me about Wattpad when I was in middle school. I remember being obsessed with the classics like My Wattpad Love and always trying to write the perfect story. On and off throughout high school, I read stories and archived the ones I loved. Recently, I am returning to Wattpad. Presently, I am a self-published poet. My writing sacred and full of vulnerability. An art that has become a part of who I am and what I'm meant to be. Maybe Wattpad can add accountability and structure to my life. A less formal outlet of writing, a platform I can use to not only nurture my craft, but build a network of supporters. Maybe, just maybe it can become the foundation of versatility and growth.
