I think our souls have been out on coffee dates
Late night in the newly paved streets
Cigarettes and daydreams
Parties and sunkissed skin
I think our souls met decades ago
And walked through life together holding hands
Waiting to find eachother again
I think our souls have their footprints in the sand together 
Snow angels imprinted somewhere on earth
Maybe we have past wedding rings at the bottom of the ocean
I think our souls have been to japan and stargazed, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossom trees
I believe that they went to France, maybe they fell in love under the Eiffel Tower
I think our souls went on adventures, and not just going to adventure parks and getting sunburned, 
But I believe they went to some scary places too
To feel the rush of adrenaline running through their entire body
And i think the universe was made for you and me
Maybe our souls have been to space
And put our stars next to each other
Maybe they placed our stars right next to the moon
So that way-
When we got to where we are now,
And we're out, late at night on the porch swing
We can stare at the moon and our souls can talk and reminisce 
About all of the good things that they've missed
Sipping coffee early in the morning waiting to meet again

Last time my walls were bare
My world had become dark
And the rain was no longer enjoyable 
But a swing in the backyard 
Of a handsome man 
And small barks around the neighborhood 
The stars lined the moon 
And the rain fell-
And your head was on my shoulder 
And the rain went from blue to clear
And i could finally understand why people enjoyed the rain

You put your legs over mine 
And pull me in close
And i intertwine my fingers with yours 
And its like all of sudden
The world is whole again
And we're safe
As long as we have eachother.
