I'm hyperfixating for this fanfic again atm so I have angst ideas/theories for Y/N's mom
Y/N doesn't know anything about his blood family, why? I think its because Y/N's mom definitely cut ties with them, but it was not her decision to make. When her family found out she got impregnated by a villain, they were disgusted, forcing her out of their home because she is now "corrupted". (Headcannon that her family was very Conservative and/or religious)
When Y/N was first born, his mom's postpartum depression was so bad that she nearly killed him on multiple occasions. I would think she tried abandoning him a few times but every time her motherly instincts just scream at her to hold and care for her baby.
I feel that Y/N's mom definitely loved him, if she had a choice she would have raised him and watch him grow up, but she's not capable of doing so because of all of her mental problems, financial struggles, and maybe she was tracked down too? (This was inspired by Mitski's I Bet On Losing Dogs, the "I always want you when I'm fine." lyric.)

@IkamiRose Continuing with the tracked down part, AFO somehow managed to find out he has a kid and has been trying to track her down, Y/N's mom coming to know this, left Y/N so he won't find what he's looking for. That's why she disappeared for years. Then when the news of a teenager attempted suicide broadcasted, she had to do the hardest thing she ever had to do, and that was go against Y/N. To make sure that he goes to a place that has high security, to make sure AFO never gets to him. I don't know if she was aware of the fact he was going to be sent to a testing facility, but if she was, she just had to make that heartbreaking decision to let him go. I think the reason why she did the things she's done to Y/N was so he wouldn't get attached to her and wouldn't try looking for her in the future, because if your mom left you to rot and never showed interest in you since childhood, would you try to form a relationship from that point? And yeah that's all I have for now
