Hi, I'm Alvin Lauran, a writer who believes that stories are not just words on a page, but living fragments of our memories, fears, and dreams. Writing has always been my way of exploring the world-both its light and its shadows.

My Tagalog horror novel Pagkagat ng Dilim was honored as a Wattys 2024 Shortlist, a recognition that gave me courage to continue telling stories rooted in Filipino imagination, folklore, and everyday life. Horror, for me, is not just about fear-it's about uncovering the truths that lurk in silence, in darkness, and sometimes even within ourselves.

Beyond Wattpad, I am proud to have stepped into the world of traditional publishing with Ukiyoto Publishing, which released two of my books:

Drizzle in the City and Other Stories - a collection that captures small yet powerful human moments, from fleeting encounters to lasting heartbreaks.

Four Strong Winds - a novel about love, loss, and resilience, tracing the fragile threads that bind us together and the winds that sometimes tear us apart.

As a stroke survivor and someone living with chronic kidney disease, I also carry with me a deep gratitude for life's second chances. These experiences have shaped my voice as a writer-reminding me that every story we tell, and every story we live, is precious.

I continue to write because I believe stories heal, connect, and inspire. My dream is to leave behind words that matter-whether they make you shiver in fear, pause in reflection, or smile in recognition of something familiar.
