2) Why is bras plural but panties is singular?

I like different ways of phrasing stuff like..
1) it's not stalking it just obsessive shadowing 
2) it's not stealing it's borrowing without asking and no intent of returning
3) it's not kidnapping it's surprise adopting ;D

I tend to get bored pretty fast but once I made up my mind that's it I'ma do it. I'm stubborn and I've always wanted to do something amazing that poeple will remember
