Love in Disguise is coming back this week! The story is not completed as I'd hoped it would be at the end of my hiatus of two months, but I've written a total of 21 chapters, so hopefully, while publishing those, I'll have enough time to work on the rest of the story. :) I'm also planning other romantic stories, nothing concrete yet, but I have plenty of ideas once Love in Disguise is done. :)

Good news first : I've reached over 20k words, so 1/4 of the story's done! Bad news is I realize I'm way more productive on certain days of the week (today is unfortunately not one of them) so this slows me down a little... but I try to make up for it by writing more on the days that I have more free time. :)

So, after thinking long and hard about this, Love in Disguise will go on hiatus for approximately 1-2 months max (no more than that, don't worry, there's no reason for me to give up on this, I love this story too much to leave it unfinished). That's because I've realized that for me, writing a chapter and publishing it weekly doesn't really work for me. I'd rather the whole thing be written down already and then I'd just have to revise as I publish the chapters. So that's what I'm going to do now. 2 months is the maximum, but it might not take as long if I'm really motivated and writing a lot on weekends. Like, say, one day, I wrote 10000 words, that'd be amazing and I'd be back sooner than planned. I'm just being cautious here.

And after that, I'd go back to regular updates. No more stress. :)

If you don't want to wait that long, I'll understand. And if you do and read it once I'm back with the rest of the story, then I'll be overjoyed! :)

If there's a lesson for me to remember here, for future stories (because I do hope Love in Disguise won't be my only story on Wattpad), it's to write the whole story down first, then publish one or two chapters each week... and maybe revise them as I go along. Because, for me, even with an outline, the mix of writing the first draft + revising before publishing each new chapter weekly is too much for me I think. So I'm debating whether keeping up with this schedule or well, sit down and write the whole thing and once it's finished, update on a more regular basis? I dunno. :( Because I also want it to be quality for anyone who stumbles on my story and when I rush, I feel like it sucks.
What would you do if you were me? How do you go about writing here? Write down the whole thing, then publish? Publish as you write each chapter?

Just to let you all know, chapter 10 will be up tomorrow. :) And yes, I'm very much aware that I suck at respecting my own deadlines XD But do believe me when I say that if I didn't even set deadlines for myself, I would procrastinate for much longer! So they're not completely useless... XD As long as I update once a week, that's really what matters to me, so that my story keeps moving forward. :)
