@flowerpetels that is true. I just started volunteering about 6 months ago and it's changed my life for the better. It's actually really helped me a lot in my life especially cause when I started I wasn't in a good state of mind and it really helped me so much because even though these dogs have had so much happen to them they still love you and treat people like they are the best things on earth.
But I have tried to convince my family to adopt but they won't sadly and I can't ask anymore or try cause my parents are threatening to not let me go anymore but the dogs there are so amazing with how much they love you no matter how much hell they have been through.

Omg I feel so bad for him. I can see why his name is trooper now. I used to have a pittbull/black lab mix. His name was Debo but he died of old age around 3 years ago. When someone found him he was tied to a tree on a back road, so we could tell someone was trying to kill him. If we didn't adopt him then the SPCA would have put him down. But he was an amazing dog and he got along with the dog that we got after him. I love rescue animals and I love to hear their stories just to see how strong they are. In my opinion dogs are stronger than people. ✨

@flowerpetels I hope he does too but he gets a ton of love at the shelter and no one cares about his past there because he loves to great people with kisses and snuggle and play fetch.
A few months back when he came they found a bullet behind his ear and a bad cut above his eye. Someone obviously shot him in hopes of killing him and that's why he's called Trooper. He is a trooper and the strongest dog I've met. If you have an Instagram you can follow @rescuepet ( Jan B ) and she posts pictures of most of the dogs at the shelter but she also posts a lot of Troop. He is actually pretty much famous to anyone who has ever seen her page.
