What's the actual difference between block and mute?

@AytyElSemary Hi, there is only a slight difference e.g. if you block someone neither you nor they can see each other's profile or stories. They won't be able to see your comments on other people's stories or message boards. If you mute someone, that only allows you to control your message board and stories. If I muted someone on Wattpad, can they see my replies to them on my posts on my wall in their notifications even after the mute?
