So... I hate to be 'that guy', but how are we managing our ONC entries that we want to enter in the Watty's?

Because if the ONC doesn't conclude until closer to the 23rd, then either that forces ONC participants still waiting for Shortlist to either:

          A) Change their stories early to hit the minimum 40k word limit.

          B) Create a full 'new story', so to speak, where they paste their edits in, how they want, and then enter it into the Watty's.

          C) Panic-cram a bunch of copy-and-pasted edits on a time crunch, potentially missing last-minute edits and unknowingly decreasing their changes because of a few rush errors.

So my question to Ambassadors, basically, is: What would you prefer those of us still waiting to do?

Would it be best to just create a whole new story with our edits there and enter that to The Watty's? Or, is judging for ONC at a standpoint where we can freely change our work, and it won't interfere with the voting process?

Of course, I do not mean to pry or push for answers; I know a lot of people have questions, so this is being asked with as much respect as possible. I'm not trying to rush the judging process or anything—I just want to make sure those of us who are feeling a little anxious can get some clarification and not feel so scatterbrained about how to handle both contests.

            Hello,

There was a message here on 29 June, explaining that those who were successful have been contacted. We could only take 400 max from the 2.7k who applied.

If you did not receive a follow-up message after the second screening, it means you were not selected for this session.

Thank you for your intrest to join. The next session will be around November, and it will be announced here when the application form opens.

            Hope that helps =)

Hello,

I am reaching out about a technical issue that has been affecting my account for the past week. I hope you can help direct this to the right team.

          The Issue:
I am unable to post on one specific user's conversation board. I can post on other users' boards without any problem, and I can still comment on their stories. This makes me believe it is not a mute or block, but a technical glitch.

          What Happened:
Right before the issue started, I made several quick posts and deletions on that board, which triggered Error 1131 (spam filter). The error cleared globally, and my account works normally everywhere else—except on this one board. It feels like the restriction token for this specific board was never cleared.

          What I Have Tried:

          · Logging out and back in
          · Testing on both the website and the app
          · Confirming I can comment on their stories (which rules out a mute or block)
          · Testing on other users' boards (which works fine)

          My Request:
I believe the database cleared the global spam filter but failed to clear the restriction token for this specific board ID. Is there a way to manually reset the connection between my account and this user's board?

I submitted a support ticket on Saturday and plan to follow up on Monday. If you could help escalate this, I would be very grateful.

          Thank you for your time.

            Hello,

It sounds like you are on the right track, and we hope you resolve the issue. The best way to escalate is to submit a support ticket, as you did.

However, Ambassadors are not Wattpad staff. We cannot escalate or fast-track these things.

            Good luck,

I submitted my story, Broadcasting a Change, for the June 30DayChallenge, but Chapters One, Five, and Nine were not written in June. I published Chapters One and Five BEFORE June (April and May). While I never took them down, I did republish them, which altered the dates to say they were written in June. Therefore, I would like to disqualify them from the challenge. Chapter Nine was written in May, but I did not officially publish it until June. Because of that, I'm not sure if it should be counted for the challenge. If this causes too much trouble, I am okay with my story being disqualified from the June Challenge. To clarify, this is in regards to the JUNE contest. I would still very much like to participate in the JULY contest. Some chapters in my story that haven't been published yet were written months ago. Would I be able to put a message on there to keep them from being counted in the July contest, or should I simply not publish them until the contest is over? Have a splendid day, and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello, dear Wattpad Support Team and Ambassadors,

I am writing this message first and foremost to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the empathy and wonderful help you provided by granting me a special exception for my novel. I wanted to take the time to tell you the true story behind what happened, because I believe you deserve to know the deep impact your help has had on my life.

For me, this story is not just another book. I started writing it during an extremely dark and difficult time, seeking a refuge to forget my pain and heal. Every single one of these 91,000 words represents a tear, a sigh, and a step toward my personal growth. Participating in this year's Wattys meant closing that cycle, which is why I put all my strength into getting the manuscript ready.
However, fate put me through very tough trials along the way.

First, I went through the massive stress of my computer completely burning out. Since my cell phone is quite old and didn't have the capacity, I had to ask for help; in fact, I am writing this to you from a friend's house, fighting from her computer so my dream wouldn't die.

On top of that, I had horrible issues with my internet connection. Despite everything, I managed to push forward and scheduled the automatic publication of the remaining chapters for July 3rd, making sure everything would be out on time. Unfortunately, the platform let me down; the system failed and did not publish the chapters as it was supposed to, leaving them saved as drafts.

To make matters worse, on July 4th, right the day after that publication failure, my cousin took my device and accidentally pressed the submit button on the entry form ahead of time. The form was submitted declaring that the work had 42 chapters, but due to the scheduling and internet issues, only 23 were publicly visible on the platform.

@Ambassadors Hi everyone "I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you for supporting me. This story isn’t just mine; it’s yours too. You have become my second family and my biggest inspiration. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in Colombian talent and for pushing me to keep moving forward at just 15 years old. I love you all so much! ❤️"

I knew perfectly well that this data inconsistency meant an automatic disqualification by the system, and I felt that all my months of effort and dedication to heal my pain had been thrown in the trash because of someone else's accident. I cried so much thinking I was out, but I decided to reach out to you.

Upon hearing my special case, you responded with an empathy and human warmth that I will never forget. By granting me that special exception to immediately publish my remaining 18 chapters before the deadline, you saved my dream.

I am writing this to keep an official record that I have now published all 42 chapters and my work is marked as "Complete", exactly as I declared on the form, completely fixing the initial inconsistency. Thank you for not being a cold system, for understanding the hard work of writers, and for shielding my story against any algorithm errors.

I will never forget what you did for me.
With all my gratitude, respect, and love,

Hi Wattpad Ambassadors,
I am reaching out to you because I am extremely frustrated, and honestly, I feel like every door has been slammed in my face. I am a long-time writer on this platform, well-known within a small community here. Unfortunately, throughout my entire time on Wattpad, support has never responded to a single email I’ve sent, and I’ve currently been left ignored for over 8 days regarding a serious issue touching my account’s safety.
For a long time now, I have been targeted by spam reports, constant false flagging, and threats from certain users. I want to bring my book back from a year-long archive and publish safely without the constant fear of losing my account or having my years of hard work wasted.
On top of that, my account is suffering from strange, isolated technical glitches that only happen to me:
My home feed does not load at all on the app, displaying a connection error even though my internet is perfectly fine and other accounts load normally on the exact same device.
I cannot access the parts of my own book through the normal story page due to a loading error. The only way I can view my work is through a complicated workaround by navigating through my drafts and then going to my archived books.
I know that technical fixes might not be directly in your hands as ambassadors, but I have been patient for so long and I don't know where else to turn. All I need from you is guidance: What am I supposed to do to reach a human reviewer who can secure my account and resolve these glitches? How can I make my voice heard when support has completely failed and ignored me?
Please advise me on how to handle this suffocating situation.
Looking forward to your guidance, and thank you for your time.

            Hello,
We are sorry to read about this frustration. The best we can do is to listen and, as you say, connect you with resources from the Help Centre.

The 'known issues' page is a helpful place, not sure if you have visited it before, but it has more info on current issues and troubleshooting advice.

            https://support.wattpad.com/hc/en-us/categories/200056334-Known-Issues

From the above page, you can also navigate to the 'submit a request page' where you can get in contact.

            https://support.wattpad.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

We hope these are useful, and if they are already familiar to you, then you are on the right track, and all we can do is to encourage you to keep trying. We use the same system, so we do not have an alternative beyond this to fast-track things.

On another note, if we can offer you one tip: Always keep an extra copy of all your writing somewhere safe and off line/of Wattpad. Glitches are unfortunate, so avoid the tears of losing all your work by having a spare copy.

Hope you manage to find some answers
            Cheers
