Born in a small Texas town, Amber Autry was raised on a ranch. Two to be exact. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her granny owned a horse breeding ranch while her mom's boyfriend was a race horse trainer. On her mom's weekends, they had betting good times travelling to the races.These days, Amber's "tails" gamble on the hero winning over the heroine's heart. 

Amber doesn't remember a time she wasn't reading, but her first love was the edge-of-your-seat suspense Nancy Drew books. In her teenage years, she found romance and has steadily read all sub-genre's of romance ever since. 

At 12, Amber found her drive to write. She started with songs and plays meant for her church's drama club, although, nothing was ever shown to the teacher. Her first novel, started at 20 years old, is a romantic women's fiction she calls "Conflicted Heart". She hopes to publish that novel, but if she doesn't, she had learned a tremendous amount about writing while creating it. 

Now, she's actively working on a romantic suspense. And she's found her niche. "The Baby Heist" has brought new enjoyment to her writing, and she hopes that publishers will enjoy it as much as she is while writing it. Who knows? Maybe the seven years she has spent learning the craft will pay off.
